I read many reviews on different ball polisher machines. It seems there are always some sort of negative reviews, which is to be expected as the level of expectations vary. This machine is pretty quiet. It really cleaned the entire rack extremely well, except for a few spots on my cue ball. Depending on the chalk you use, the cue ball may need a little extra cleaning by hand. I had been cleaning the cue ball by hand for a year and could never get all the chalk marks off. This machine did a much better job. The rest of the balls were completely clean and looked like new. I would say this is a great machine for the cost. I wanted to add, I only add 1 drop of Aramith ball polisher cleaner on each ball.
