I picked this vacuum up to use on the upstairs area of my house. My upstairs is 860sq ft plus the stairs. My upstairs consists of hardwood flooring, tile and one area rug. I have two cats, so there is always pet hair everywhere. After unpacking, it took about 2 hours to charge the battery fully. The assembly of the unit is very easy as all the tubes and accessories lock together quickly and easily. The powerhead has brushes to assist with picking up large debris. The brushes are soft enough to not damage hardwood flooring, so there is no worry there. I did find that while these brushes picked up most of the cat hair off my area rug, it was not able to remove all the hair entirely. I think that this is because the brushes are on the softer side. This is okay with me, since most of my flooring is hardwood and I would worry about potentially damaging the finish with stiffer brushes. I do wish that the vacuum had the option to turn off the brushes, but it does not.I found that the suction on the vacuum was quite good. Loose cat hair on the floor that was about 5 inches away from the powerhead was being sucked up instantly. If you find that you need a little extra suction, there is a power boost button that really ramps up the suction. Of course, this is at the expense of battery life.I found that the battery life was perfect for my use. I was able to vacuum my entire upstairs and the stair well with the power head attachment installed. Afterwards, I still had about half a charge left on the unit. I was then able to switch out the power head with the brush attachment and clean my baseboards. I did find that after I got below half a charge, the vacuum would shut off on its own after running the power boost for a few minutes. I simply kept the vacuum at the standard setting was able to continue to vacuum. I was able to finish the entire upstairs with still about a 1/3 charge left.Clean up was a snap. The entire canister unit quickly detaches from the vacuum with the press of a single button. You can then take the canister to the trash and open the bottom trap door and dump your dirt. Because of the cat hair, I had to remove the filter as the screen protecting the filter had cat hair collected around it. It was very easy to remove the filter and replace it after cleaning.Overall, I am very happy with this vacuum. It is lightweight and performs well. My only concern is the future availability of replacement filters once the included two filters are no longer able to be cleaned. If you are needing a lightweight easy to use cordless vacuum, I think you will be quite pleased with the EICOBOT cordless vacuum.
